There's an obvious reason to add high end gigs to your job range: That's how you make money on Fiverr! You miss 100% of the shots that you don't take, right?
But there are additional reasons to add more expensive gigs to your Fiverr seller account. And in fact, these reasons might be more important then people accepting the gig itself. Sure it's nice when you can make a big score and showcase your full range of talents. But that isn't what most customers are thinking about when they come across your gig selection and see a particularly expensive one. So let's explore the high end gig strategy so that you can leverage it to grow your Fiverr freelancer business.

Offering at least one gig that has high prices and a broad scope is critical to your growth as a Fiverr seller, particularly once you hit Level 2 Seller and beyond.
Let's take my custom book writing for movie adaptation gig as an example. In late 2023, prices for that gig range from $13,500 to $20,000 depending on the length of novel the client needs. I've gotten a couple of takers for the full service over the years (although they opted to pay a little more and get it ghostwritten instead), which is great! Big projects allow you to plan and manage your time much more efficiently.
But the main goldmine here isn't the gig itself. It's the search impressions.
I deliberately use broader key phrases for my expensive gig. I want as many people to see it as possible. You should be doing the same: Big, generic key phrases that will capture as many writing clients as possible. Why? Because what they're going to see is a high end freelancer offering a quality service. You aren't really advertising the gig, though it's nice if occasionally you see the big package. You're really selling yourself.
Over a typical 30 day stretch, my high priced gig gets double the search impressions of my actual best selling gig. That's more eyes on my profile, that's more people looking up my name and visiting my website, that's more people interested in what other services I offer. As far as clicks on the gig itself, sure it gets some... perhaps a third of what my most popular gig achieves. But mainly it's there to get clicks on the profile link that appears below the video in the search results.
Now clients who are browsing through my profile and gig list are thinking: This is a high end professional, and the prices for these smaller gigs seem quite reasonable.
And that's the point. You give them options. Whatever gig type and scope is in their budget, that's what their eyes are going to drift to next. You can get tons of smaller projects and some great long term clients from this method, all because you weren't afraid to showcase the big gig. You'll also notice an uptick of people contacting you because they were curious about your high end gig, and wondered if you also work on smaller projects.
The ratio of big gigs that you offer as compared to your 'normal' gigs should be around 1 to 10, but you can start your first one when you have around 5 gigs listed. Just don't add a second big one until you hit at least 18 or 19 total gigs. This is why I mentioned Level 2 Sellers before, because they can have up to 20 gigs and spending one on this is worthwhile. But you can start using this strategy as a Level 1 seller if you like, dedicating one of your ten slots to a big gig. You just need an excellent portfolio and track record to pull it off.
That's all you need to know about exploring high end gigs on Fiverr! It's a short lesson, but I hope that explains my strategy and why it works so well.
